This exciting project was one of my first at Hired Guns Creative and was mentored by Richard Hatter, their Creative Director. The inspiration for this brand was drawn from the historic British Columbian, separatist movement that promoted the separation of British Columbia from the rest of Canada with the purpose of forming its own independent Republic.

Portal, a Vancouver Island University’s literary magazine, showcases the very best student works of fiction, non-fiction writing, poetry, literary essays, art and photography. The magazine is produced entirely by students in the upper-level publishing class.
The cover design I created represents the often tough but rewarding creative journey of being a writer.
This design project was undertaken at Hired Guns Creative ; mentored by Richard Hatter, Creative Director. 'Super G' was inspired by Chinese decorative design and Chinese medicinal packaging. The Label is adorned with white ginger flowers and ginseng berries.

Since its founding by Henry and Edward Williams in 1866, The Sherwin-Williams Company has not only grown to be the largest producer of paints and coatings in the United States, but is among the one of largest paint producers in the world.
This was one my fourth year, University projects and my challenge was to re-design Sherwin Williams to a more approachable, friendly and modern brand.
Who doesn’t love HP sauce? The sauce is great but I thought the label could use some work…I redesigned the HP Sauce label as another fourth year University project. The aim: to appeal to a hip and young demographic.
